I actually started going out and having fun
Now I'm out of money, but it was worth it.
We went to Numbers on a Friday night, and it turns out, Mike really likes dancing to 80s music. So we went again Saturday. Met a bunch of people, ended up on a dude's Myspace, I look like hell, but hey, I got this cute girl's number. Now I just need to get up the nerve to call her!
Checked out Fitzgeralds too and I definitely want to go back there. Did my first Irish car bomb with the sound guys, who were awesome, and was surprised when I managed to finish it given that I dislike beer and whiskey, heh. But the bartender was right, it kind of tastes like chocolate. I gave him a crazy big tip for talking me into it, and also because he was really hot.
Said goodbye to a friend who's going to spend a couple of months roaming the country by getting really high and sitting around a firepit. The boys were goofing off in the fire and Mike managed to fling a burning stick at a 6 week old. It was accidental. The baby was unharmed.
Tried a swinger party, too, but it wasn't really my thing. We were there for three hours, most of which involved a few groups playing cards or dominos while the rest of us made really awkward small talk. Then some porn was put on the big screen and, as far as I could tell, everyone did their best to ignore it. It was leading up to a group disrobing and jumping in the pool (and there were probably thirty people there) when Mike and I left. It seemed like it could be fun, but it was our first time, we didn't know anyone... and honestly, I'm not really into casual sex. I would totally have group sex with friends, but not strangers like that. Anyway.
The only other big thing going on is that Mike is head-over-heels in love with a girl we sort of dated several years back. They finally started talking again, and it seems she returns the sentiments
She and I get along pretty well, too, and I added to one of his e-mails that I care about her a lot and am glad communication has reopened. However, this is all complicated by her boyfriend, who isn't really up for polyamory, it seems, which is a shame because I would love to start a household with the two of them. We'll see what happens.
