Well, back to work with a bump today. Two weeks off, and nothing to show for it except some hazy memories and a vastly depleted bank account.
I sepnt a week in Orkney for those that didn't know, although it was only supposed to be 4 days. The extra days were down to mother nature providing some Mid-summer force 6 gales and high tides with heavy swell, so I was kinda marooned for a few days longer.
Visited this place below, known as the Italian Chapel. It was built by Italian POW's during WW2 when they were detained there to build the Churchill barriers amongst other things. They had nowhere to pray, so converted a nissin hut, and bulilt on the facade which is still kept by the trust set up by the Orcadians and the POW's themselves. They also built the statue of St George you see below as well.
Unfortunately this was what the weather was like for the other 6 1/2 days...

There are drinks on the 25th and a bigger meet next month. C'mon, you know you want to.
As previously threatened, if you don't make it to a meet soon we'll have the next meet in your living room. That means Blair, in your house, trowing tantrums, throwing cans of cider around and eventually throwing up.
You don't need that kind of trouble.
