Tomorrow I'll be headed for Asheville, but I've hit a couple of snags.
Snag #1: I can't find my fucking checkcard. I carry this thing around religiously, and now I've gone and misplaced it. I only have a moderate faith in myself locating it before Friday afternoon. Needless to say, a trip to Asheville with cash and/or no money would suck ASS.
Snag #2: Apparently, I now have no place to crash. The friends I have planned to stay with neglected to tell me they were living in the female dorms at UNCA, and naturally, I am barred from any extended stay in the place, so the question now is, where do I sleep/crash?
Two options: I rent a hotel room, or I pack my trusty sleeping bag/tent and find someplace down by the river to chill for a few hours.
Update: I am incredibly stupid. The weather in Asheville is going to undoubtably fucking cold. While I pride myself on being a veteran of cold weather camping, I am no fool. So a winter's sleeping site, by the fucking French Broad of all places, is out of the question. Maybe the vacant lot of a local Ingles or Evil-Empire (Wal-Mart) will suffice. Who knows?
I still am leaning heavily against renting a room. Fuck that, I'm a student on a tight budget.
Other then those two minor details, everything looks to be going perfectly.
One last question: Do the public buses run late in Asheville?

I'm no help on a place to stay, I think the girls dorm sounds like a great place to stay, and experience has shown that you can stay there for an extended period of time, even if you don't go to school there. tee heee
You could always just leave it to your ability to hook it up with some random girl.
