so went down to the farm today.
we've got a biodiesel processor down there and haven't been down much at all this last winter. we have about 400 gallons of waste vegetable oil that we've been meaning to make into biodiesel.
well, you can't leave used oil to sit for months and months, it goes rancid. we spent an hour titrating each of 8 barrels, and it's all too acidic now to make fuel out of. 400 gallons of 'wasted' oil. what a bummer.
worst is, we're broke, and we need some major improvements, and the farm site is rough because we've no plumbing to dump out waste water. we have to store our waste water and truck it out every once in a while. big pain in the arse.
anyway. it's a situation where we either get money, dig ourselves in deeper, or get out.
so we gave up.
bummer.
anyway. as you may have learned in life, as doors close, doors open.
we'll be moving the biodiesel processor to a friends garage, with heat, water, electricity. and right in town.
and this all happens within a number of days. ain't that funny?
