So yeah, I'm here for another year, apparently.
Been fighting a cold all weekend and we're still duking it out. It definitely had the knockout punch on saturday.
Took the car back into the shop and did a test drive with the shop foreman. They think they've got it this time. We shall see. I detected the hint of a new rattle from the dash over the weekend. Hopefully I hit it hard enough. I'm still not wild about the driving position, but I sat in an Impreza and it seemed to have the same issues. Either I have really short arms, or these cars are designed to be driven by apes with no knees. Or people shorter than 5' 6". I guess that's what made in Japan really means in this case (not the quality, just the sizing).
