I work off of sales commision in construction. make sure you get a base wage or salary so that you don't end up earning nothing. you may also insert southern idiom...i'm in central louisiana. not much to do but look at pics of you and fish. i'm having trouble meeting like-minded individuals in town, so look me up sometime. we'll chat.
I just started training to work for a small health insurance company in NYC... I chose the 9% straight commision option instead of a smaller w/ a base.. I think it really makes you create your own business and challenge yourself more.. Granted this is a totally different industry than sports stuff, my superior is a girl in her late twenties making 200,000 a year.. hard work, building connections, and making your own business is where its at.. insurance, selling snow boots, wherever gurl.. you've got some verrrrry marketable assets, i don't mean that to sound weird or perved, but it's true-- who wouldn't wanna buy snow boots from you?? jeez!! My advice- commission is what you make of it.. lots of people complain because it's more work and they want easy salary money (hey, who doesn't?) but it's a position that's totally reflective of YOU and that's why i love it
maybe that helped
take care
