Good morning, SGland. For once, I actually got a good night’s sleep, and I thought I’d take advantage of my less-addled brain and pose a question to you all: what kinds of changes would you like to see in our world today? For me, I grew up watching “Star Trek”, and in that fantasy future, poverty, homelessness, poor health care, and the like had become nothing but stains in our history. As improbable as it is, I would love to see that world realized. As a species, we have so much potential to do great things, as evidenced by our numerous technological advancements. I believe that a key trait we’re lacking as a whole is a decent education, particularly in the art of critical thinking. The bulk of humanity is too easily swayed by con artists who take the guises of benevolent leaders and holy men, in my opinion, and that leads to all kinds of strife and woe across the globe. I know we can do better. Getting there is the tricky part.
