Hey, all! I’ve been tasked by the incredible @zarawolf to complete this questionnaire, and I shall not disappoint her. 😁
When did you first discover SuicideGirls?
It was a random sighting on Facebook, actually. Some pics showed up on an old friend’s feed. I liked them enough to start following the FB page and just went from there.
Do you have any nicknames? If yes, what are they?
I’ve never been given any, no. As a spiritual practitioner, though, I often use a pendulum when I cleanse auras or perform divination magic, and I have considered giving myself the nickname “Pendulum” as a result. Such a nickname would also pair well with the symptoms of my emotional disorder.
What is your favourite colour?
Though some would consider it a shade as opposed to a colour, I’d have to go with black, as without the black of empty space, one cannot enjoy the splendour of the night sky. Plus, you know, it just looks cool.
What are your five most used emojis?
😊😁😅🙂🖤
Are you a morning or a night person?
I am absolutely a morning person, specifically an early morning person, as I love the peace and quiet.
What’s your zodiac sign, & do you resonate with it?
I’m a Cancer, and though the signs hold no sway over my decisions and opinions of others, the sign does align with me when it comes to my symptoms (though I curb them with medication, diet, exercise, etc.). I’ll leave you to interpret that as you see fit.
If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
I would love the powers of Charles Xavier. Using those abilities, I could slowly root out anyone in positions of power who use other human beings as mere pawns etc. and discover ways to topple them that would be best received and handled by the populace.
If you could only choose one, would you rather fly with a unicorn or swim with a mermaid?
I’ve fantasized about riding a magical steed for many years, so, yes, unicorn, absolutely.
Are you a dog or cat person, and do you have pets?
I am more of a cat person than a dog person, though I’m a lover of many a creature. Though I personally have no pet at the moment, I live with a roommate named Gus who purrs when I give him scritches and belly rubs.
If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would you choose?
Having just expressed a love for animals, I enjoy chicken in a different way. I’ve never met a chicken that I didn’t like.
What are three things you can't live without?
Besides the obvious (water, air, etc.), freedom of thought, my imagination, and my spiritual ties. I’ve been rich and poor, and tangible assets come and go, so I don’t get too attached to that kind of thing.
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
I would love to visit Scotland. My ancestors - the Hay clan - hail from there, and there’s a site called “Falcon Stone” that has a very strong tie to our history. I love the story - myth or fact, I couldn’t say - that goes with it.
What's the most adventurous thing you've done?
I was part of a student exchange program that took me to Japan. I stayed with two families - one in Tokyo, and the other in Nagoya. There’s something about the culture that just calls to me on a deeply spiritual level, and it has since I was first introduced to it as a young man. I was nervous as all Hells, and I only had an older child’s grasp on the language, which just added to my nervousness, but it was a wondrous time, nevertheless.
Share something else that few people know!
The first time I had a spiritual experience was when I was on vacation with a friend of mine who had some training in martial arts. He took me and my sister out to a random section of the trailer park we were in (my grandparents’ place in Florida) and blindfolded me. He then told me to point out various things about my surroundings. I had a true Luke Skywalker moment then: “With the blast shield down, I can't see a thing!” After a while, though, I could start to “see” things - a bird flying overhead, a man coming out of a trailer close by, someone else biking in the distance… I just started listing everything that flowed into my head. Both my friend and my sister were taken aback by my accuracy. It was my first - and best - experience with “kenning” (from the Scottish “to know”, no less). I was a purely logical boy up until then. Now I do both.
