the other night at the bar i took photos of myself in the photo booth. a-la-amelie-style. sometimes i really like doing things alone. this was one of them.
i put the photos in the my pics of my profile.
i have decided on two new favorite as far as fruits and vegetable. this rotates, and for now, it is:
vegetable: winter squash you know, acorn, butternut, , not that other zucchini kind. yuck.
and
fruit: pomegranate
what are your favorite fruits and vegetables of the moment? if you dont mind sharing, really, im curious.
i want to branch out and try more foods.
insolent. my new favorite word.
i wanted to use the word in regards to someone, but i couldnt even place exactly what it meant. so i just said i wanted to use it, but with that pretense.
it kind of wnet like thisi really feel like you are acting so so so.i want to say insolent, but i dont even know what that means.
so yesterday i received an email from this person and this was all that was typed in the body of it.
insolent
Pronunciation: -s(&-)l&nt
Function: adjective
Etymology: Middle English, from Latin insolent-,
insolens unaccustomed, overbearing, from in- + solens,
present participle of solEre to be accustomed; perhaps
akin to Latin sodalis comrade -- more at SIB
Date: 14th century
1 : insultingly contemptuous in speech or conduct : OVERBEARING
2 : exhibiting boldness or effrontery : IMPUDENT
and, yes, as i figured, this definitely was not the right word.
but now i know what it means.
i think impudent was a much more fitting description. thats a nice word too.
i hope im not turning into a word whore.
