A week or so ago, @rambo and @missy asked us what were the ways we all handled stress.
My life is FAIRLY uncomplicated, and for that I am grateful, but like everyone else, we just have some days that truly suck.
The way I deal with such stresses is to go home, get comfy, maybe strip down to my undies, get under the blankets, aaaaaand

cuddle my fluffy best friend
We bought Baron off Craigslist nearly two years ago and I can't begin to say how much he has had an impact on our collective lives. Schedules revolve around this pooch. Empires could crumble and we wouldn't know as long as the dog was content!
It's not like I haven't had a dog before. We had a standard poodle growing up since I was 5 and that dog was like my brother but Baron is truly my (and my sister's) dog. He's the closest thing I am going to have to a child for a long while and I do so much to make his little pup-heart happy.
In return, he is such an affection dog. He is so very excited whenever someone comes home, especially my sister and I. He greets us, he dances around us, wants to give kisses.....and then have things thrown for him. He's an awesome little lap dog and is very happy sitting and chilling out in our laps or next to us. He loves sleeping on the bed, usually near feet. He's goofy, he's happy, he's sweet and loving. Just being in his presence helps put a smile on my face. Any bad situation or happening in the day just disappears when I come home because I am far more excited to see and finally spend time with him.
I would urge everyone to go out and get a pet, whether that's a cat, dog, hamster, whatever you can get and maintain in your living situation. Pets are such wonderful creatures and they are one of the ultimate stress relievers.
Beer is also another good stress-reliever, especially when combined with pups.
