Not that I have much to say.
I've been full-time at the hotel the last few weeks, thanks to everyone else going on vacation. I've been working part-time with my sister's boyfriend and was quite suddenly promoted thanks to everyone else that keeps jumping ship. It comes with a pay raise and it's kind of sad that I'll be making almost as much as I do at the hotel. I'm responsible for a building full of people and I'll be making almost as much slinging milkshakes by the beach. If it wasn't for the potential for downtime to do homework, I'd consider quitting the hotel to work there full-time. It's been spring break the past week and this upcoming week so tonight is the first night I've really got on my computer and spent any time on SG in a while.
I dogsat for 5.5 days last week and it was the most nerve-wracking experience I've had in a while. It was my coworker's English Bulldog so I knew her, and she was comfortable with me, but I've never been more grateful for my healthy, well-adjusted mutt at home. On the second night on this dog being in my car, she had had a mini seizure in the 4 hours I was away from the apartment and we nearly went to the emergency vet at 1 a.m. On my day off, I ended up taking her to the vet anyways because of a 4 hour puking fest she had on the 3rd night. By the 4th day, and my first day off, she seemed better because there was finally someone to spend time with her. Fortunately/unfortunately, my coworker wants me to watch her again the next time she is out of town....
^This picture was forced to be taken because my 10-year-old niece got a cellphone for Christmas and she keeps texting me, asking for pictures of me and her big brother (whom she adores). I'm a younger sister myself and have always liked the thought of having a younger sister of my own to look after so I am really happy that my husband's family, especially his baby sisters, have taken to me.
Today was the first day I've been able to just relax at home in a long while. I didn't put on real clothes until it was time to come to work at 12am and I spent most of the day catching up on television shows; 2 episodes of Vikings, 1 episode of Venture Brothers, and 1 episode of the Walking Dead. I can't describe how much I love Vikings. You just never know what the characters are truly up to so there's no real way to know where the show is headed. I keep up with the Walking Dead out of habit and to me, it has gotten to be rather laughable.
The fur-goober went to the groomers today and got a fancy new-do. I've stepped over the line of sanity when it comes to animal parenting. He is trying to tell us it's not just a stage he's going through but a lifestyle choice...
My next big "thing" is my trip to Seattle in the first week of June. The husband and I are both getting work done by Derek Noble. It'll be my second and his first. Derek did my undead unicorn 2 years ago and this time I'll be getting a Japanese skull design on the bottom of my right thigh to go with my Japanese theme.
He's getting a Viking shield maiden on his calf. Derek has a wonderful aesthetic that is just hard to find in our area, despite all the shops and artists.
I did go out for St. Patrick's Day. We had to be on good behavior because the bar we like is at least 30 minutes from our house but green beer was consumed.
That's about it, lovely people. Give me stories of all the fun things you all have been up to. I have to live vicariously through those who are actually up to something!
