Greetings friendoids!
Here for my sporadic check in, because my life is hardly anything exciting at the moment so I am not sure why I am even bothering....but here I am! And here you are reading my garbage! So let us carry on...
First thing and probably best thing, my silly, lumpy neck has calmed itself. Over the past few weeks, they've reduced in size and have drained (yay, ick words) downward and out of my neck. So while I can still feel some lumps when I press down in my clavicle area, that big one on my neck that was making me self-conscious has subsided way down.
Look at that streamline shit! You can drive a hot wheel down it
Excuse my tired-as-always face. Hours have been busy here at the hotel as everyone else is taking time off so I've been working 40 hours. In addition, I've taken up a part-time gig working with my sister's boyfriend at a shake shop, slinging shakes to people who really don't need to be eating that kind of stuff. It's only 4 hour shifts but it is non-stop work and the hotel has turned me into a mini marshmallow. However, it's been enjoyable. It's just enough time in a day to force me to be around other human beings and most of my coworkers are pleasant enough. The extra perk is that this job is terminal since I'll be starting university schooling in August and cannot risk working stupid hours
I've been on a better eating regimen and it's been great so far. While I miss Diet Coke and the occasional fast food, my stomach has been looking amazing!
My belly is fun to poke! I've been doing yoga every day through a lovely yogi on Youtube and it's been nice to have that to look forward to in my day.
So in regards to my cryptic status about tattoos, I do have an upcoming tattoo appointment for June in which I am going up to Seattle but I also have another big, important tattoo idea that won't be completed until 2 years, or whenever I graduate with my Bachelor's. That's the promise I made to myself. My Bachelor's program is for Hospitality Management and once I graduate, I want to get a pineapple on the back of my right arm. Pineapple's are a symbol of hospitality, started in the colonial era because they were costly, fragile, and difficult to transport. If a host had a pineapple(s) at a gathering or party, it meant they "spared no expense". I'm going to add that quote to my tattoo and I really hope someone here understands the nerdy part of that phrase
I want to get it like an illustration or drawing, as if it came from an encyclopedia, and with minimal color. It would also be my first arm tattoo. Part of me really likes my virginal arms as it makes the rest of my body somewhat surprising but it had to come at some point.
So that's about it for me, school, work 6 days a week, and dreaming of tattoos. I'm excited because I found out today that I will have my first St. Patrick's Day off in maybe 3 or 4 years. I certainly don't intend on going and drinking my liver to death but there is an event at our bar spot called "Shamruckus" and I've never been able to go so this year is the year!
Over and out for now.
