The time is fast approaching! All Hallow's Eve is almost here! In the spirit of things, @missy, @rambo, and @lyxzen asked us all what our favorite horror movies are.
I really enjoy watching horror movies but I have also gotten more sensitive as I have gotten older. I wrote a blog last year about a horrible, realistic nightmare that V/H/S gave me even. But I can't stop watching them! I have done my best to keep up with the October Movie Challenge where you watch a horror movie per night. I haven't been able to do one a night so I might have to extend my challenge into November!
I would have to say my all time favorite, go-to horror movie and series is the Evil Dead series. It's what introduced me to the glory that is Bruce Campbell. The first one is a great all around horror movie with scares and grossness. Evil Dead 2 is so freaking oddball that it's amusing and I love Army of Darkness. I was really skeptical of the recent remake, especially when it claimed to be one of the scariest movies of all time. I really didn't enjoy it at first but it's grown on me. I did like some of the nods (I thought they were) the original as well with some of the small details
It's so nice to see that the evil Force has a sense of humor as well!
Guess what the best part of all is? The Evil Dead is BACK on Halloween with a new series called Ash Vs the Evil Dead and I am totally tickled by aging Ash still kicking ass and fighting demons.
I could watch this stuff all night long!
What's your favorite scary movie or series?
If you're looking for another Halloween treat, you should go check out my latest set shot by @roz. We were certainly inspired by 1970s, grindhouse horror style when we were shooting this. The best part? It's the naked girl trying to kill you, and not the other way around! Revenge is ours!
