A shiny gold star for who ever can guess what song those title lyrics are from!
Yes, that time is fast approaching. 10 more days till Halloween! I typically start planning my costume in September, although it doesn't always get executed until last minute sometimes...Halloween is hands-down my favorite holiday. I love to dress up normally so having a day where it is socially acceptable to dress whoever the hell you want is AWESOME! I love watching scary movies all month and decorating the house and forcing my family to eat whatever flavor of pumpkin seeds I've concocted.
This week, @lyxzen and @rambo asked us what our favorite Halloween costumes have been. With the gain in popularity of cosplay, some of them double over but it allows people with such amazing talent to display it all year round. Plus, I am a sucker for a lot of the things that are cosplayed (anime characters, etc.). If I stumbled upon a magic genie lamp, one of my wishes might very well be to be skilled in sewing and make up work so I can get on level with some of these people.
^@zephyrine I feel like this woman would make the perfect companion to your stoic devil guy. Seriously, I want to pull this off some time so very badly but I would need to be able to do the original justice!
I call dibs on Louise
Howl's Moving Castle is one of my favorite Ghibli movies and I love how she created a non-human character into something so beautiful!
This...this is bad ass.
I wonder how it smells...
I want to own a little Predator child one day...Even if I am a Xenomorph at heart
I could quite literally spend all day scouring the internet for amazing costume photos but ain't nobody got time for that.
This year, my husband and I are going as the War Boys from Mad Max: Fury Road. We have most of the basics together and of course there is always more we could pile on but time doesn't permit. I am really excited to dress up this year. We will be going up to LA as Halloween is also my husband's birthday (that lucky schmoe...) and attending a show for a group called Dead Marionette Theater like we've done for the past 2 years. It is sure to be a blast as always!
Now witness me!!!
What are you all planning to dress up as this year? Do you have any other Halloween traditions?
