This week's @bloghomework from @missy, @rambo, and @lyxzen is, "Who are your favorite artists?"
I wish teenage me could answer this because I used to spend hours on Elfwood (I can't believe I remembered the name! It's been ages since I've been on there). I have never been traditionally artistically-inclined and so I really enjoy looking at the art of those who are. Here's a few my favorite artists
Alberto Vargas. And really all pin up artists of the 1940s
Derek Noble, I am lucky that I was able to get this man's art tattooed on me. He just has a really unique style
Last but not least, Jhonen Vasquez. I first became familiar with his art through comic books but then started to follow all his forms of work. I was introduced to now what is one of my favorite bands, Mindless Self Indulgence, because Jhonen Vasquez directed one of their music videos and then went on to do the artwork for their second album.
I also love that I have seen blogs featuring other artists that I really like, including Ray Caesar and Mark Ryden
