Another wonderful @bloghomework brought to us by @missy, @rambo, and @lyxzen.
What are your favorite television shows?
Okay, well, what don't I watch? I don't watch a lot of (live action) comedy shows because my sense of humor is kind of warped. I like drama, especially those set in specific time periods. Anyways, here is my list and then you can tell me what yours are!
Current shows I am watching:
Vikings, fantastic show! Acting is awesome, the characters are really interesting, there are twists that you actually don't see coming. It's on its 3rd season. It was also created by Michael Hirst, who did the Tudors series on Showtime which I adored (I love Tudor history).
Archer, ONE of my favorite cartoons. H. Jon Benjamin's voice is sploosh-worthy. Just a funny show overall and it's on it's 6th (?) season and still remains incredibly entertaining.
Booze Traveler, I don't watch a lot of "reality" television anymore (that was a guilty pleasure I shared with my mom...) but this is one that I discovered a little while back. The name says it all. This guy travels around to a different country each episode and drinks the region's popular alcohols. Bam, I am sold. He's a pretty funny host but he's also pretty respectful of the culture and people.
NHL, I am counting hockey because it is one of the few things I actually sit down and watch. It's almost play-offs. If you don't know who my team is, I am sure you can find out by scrolling quickly through my feed. Hockey is insane because it lasts from end of September (pre season) all the way until....around June for the post season play offs. I sometimes try to record games if I am not going to be around but I have found once I find the scores, I won't watch that recorded game. It really is enjoyable to watch live (whether on TV or in person).
Better Call Saul, I loved me some Breaking Bad and it's so cool to see some supporting character's get more of a back story. Just really entertaining and it certainly leaves you guessing as to what is going to happen next.
Other shows I watch (waiting for them to come back):
Mad Men, approaching it's final season here in April and I am sad to see Don Draper and his antics leave my television life.
Fargo, fantastic first season and I can't wait to see how the second season plays out.
Game of Thrones, who doesn't watch this show? That's right, no one, because it is an amazing show.
Venture Brothers, again, another amazing cartoon with awesome characters and voice cast.
Bob's Burgers, more H. Jon Benjamin goodness.
Sailor Moon Crystal, need I explain?
Shows I need to get into:
Marco Polo, heard good stuff and I am just waiting for some time to really dig into this series.
Peaky Blinders, another Netflix original series which has yet to disappoint me so far.
Sons of Anarchy, unfortunately, I know what happens to the very end of this series but I have only watched the first season and I really want to get the full story.
Last Man on Earth, I'm a big Will Forte fan and the concept seems pretty funny so I am willing to give it a try. Anyone watch it yet?
Gotham, I'm a Batman fan so this seems like an interesting concept for a show
What do you guys watch? Do you watch to brain out, for fun, or for educational/enrichment purposes? Do you binge-watch or can you handle the excruciating wait each week?
