This is "art" for me. If you'll spare the moment to show off
You see, I've never been talented at drawing, or painting, or crafting or anything like that and it always frustrated me to no end. When I was 16 or so, I figured out I could be art. I got into modeling for galleries and schools and got to create and design myself as any crazy character I wanted to be that day. It's always fun to see yourself in different ways (even if you don't always agree that it's your best). Besides being one of the few ways I can make money from modeling, I've met some pretty neato people doing it and had some neato opportunities; like modeling for a workshop at Dreamworks Animation Studios.
This was from a live art event I did last weekend. It was a three hour session with twenty minute poses at a time. The look was macabre tribal/gypsy. (Drunk) people got to walk through and watch while the artist painted a portrait. I'm always tickled by people's comments on how still I sit. One lady turned to her companion and said, "She looks like a mannequin when she doesn't blink."
Aw look, I'm all purdy and clean.
And now comes the fake blood; baking soda, coffee, corn syrup and of course...red food coloring.
Thank you for the indulgence!
