Pain. Oh, sweet, chilled pain.
Not the Mormons. Rather the mountains... and me, for the first time, snowboarding down them. Quads hurt, calves hurt, arms hurt (getting up from the falls). Every spill was catastrophic -- sure, I plowed for a little while, but that's an awfully shallow learning curve -- and my bruises are too numerous to be inventoried.
And I fucking *loved* it.
