Well it's been a while since I last posted, and I usualy don't go this long. I guess sometimes I just don't feel like writing or sharing...
As of yesterday, it's been two months without smoking. One and a half pack-a-day habit...down to nothing. I had to go on a diet though...as I put on 10-12 lbs. Oh the joys. So now I don't get to smoke OR eat junk food...stupid health.
The job hunt has been painfully slow. I'm down to three days a week at the shop, which I guess is better than nothing. I had two interviews this week though, and both seem promising. One is working for a cell phone company, and the other is for a state Public Interest Research Group doing volunteer recruitment and running awareness campaigns! Cool huh?! Maybe I can get a career without selling my soul for an almighty dollar. I mean, I love "stuff" and buying toys as much as the next guy, but I know I should be asking myself the harder questions...is this really worth it. Who am I harming buy contributing to these mega-companies like Coke-a-Cola and their destruction of the world's water sources. What about Walmart and other big-box stores, Mobil-Exxon, tobacco companies (dealt with them already!), fast-food places....and the overall degradation of the local economy and the world's public health. I tell you, sometimes I really just feel overwhelmed.
I had a nice little write-up for my photography in the local newspaper up here The Glen Arbor Sun and it's led to a few paid gigs. Nothing huge, but I love doing it, so it's okay.
Also I've been experimenting more and more with digital B&W, which is still my favorite throwback to my film days..lol.
See for yourself: Fall beach weather

Dude, foggy morning is awesome! Keep shooting brother for the love of the shot, not the buck! Although there's nothing wrong with a buck!
