So I was talking to my mother tonight and found out that Padraic O Conaire was actually a family friend 'back in the day.' Apparently he and my great grandfather were in the The Gaelic League together in Galway. He had, according to word, a tab with my great grandfather for whiskey. My great grandfather had some money 'cos he had a masters (quite something in the day, especially in Ireland) and taught at a few universities. There is a picture of them sitting with one another that I've seen (before I gave a shit), and there is a cheque stub signed by O Conaire in my grandmother's house. I think this officially means that I am the coolest person ever. Cooless (and associations) are genetic you see. It's uhh, mitochondrial.
