I'm really struggling with my thesis lately. I'm having a lot of trouble on the third chapter, which is just sort of a framework of how a view of 'revolutionary' politics not held back by Marxism could work. I'm really struggling with Deleuze and Guittari. It feels a lot like the first time I read Hegel - there's a whole new, and insufficiently defined, language. Every few paragraphs I have to go review secondary sources, or read background material on Artaud or Klein or remember who Little Hans and the Wolf-Man were (I have absolutely <b>no</b> background in psychoanalysis). It's sort of frustrating and I'm starting to feel deadlines like a mo-fo. I'm also completely unenthused to do anything at all. The heat makes me a grumpy sluggish lump and I can't even have a shower as it somehow broke during a shaving cream fight last week. At any rate our going-away party is this Friday so hopefully that'll make things at least a bit happier for a while. Then again, I realize I've neglected to really invite any of my friends ...
