Things feel pretty good lately. I think that's largely due to the fact that I'm packing and ready to move (where to, I don't know, and that seems almost inconsequential.). Asa, from Montreal, and a former flatmate, is visiting for a few days. It's lovely to have him around, he's so different from my usual friends, and certainly from me. Theis, my bestist friend here, is in a snark though, due, I think, to change, to his odd relationship with a girl, and to his lack of whiskey. I finished all my work on the Vermont Second Republic. The talk went really well. It was well attended, we made some money, and the discussion was really great. The paper isn't what I want it to be, but I made the deadline, and that's, probably, more important. Now I can move on to my thesis and my RAT talk (which is a thesis chapter, to cut down on work! see, i'm a stress-saver in and of myself!).
I watched the American remake of The Grudge last night with the lads. It was a lot better than I'd imagined. Pretty durn scary, and it did some things which in the genre were really cool. This further cements in me that I absolutely love horror movies. They are my favorite. Yay. (although, I've still a soft spot for shite British romantic comedies.)
Anyway, enough of a break. I'm going back to work now. And fun work at that.
