So the adorable cat that we've had for barely two weeks has gone into heat.

The boy and I were up all night listening to her god-damn screaming (and seeing as I have the flu as it is, I was not a happy camper). Nor am I now that I've realized it is heat, and not just one annoying outburst like I thought last night.

Since I got home she has been wailing and squaking and being a complete asshole. To make matters worse, it seems like heat can last for days at a time, a few times a month!
like a cat in heat...

Anyone have any advice? And I don't mean creepy bestiality advice like this site
