I need to decide what to do about my hair. The red is fading and starting to show the crappy brassy bleach job underneath...i want to bleach it all out really well (which will be really difficult, there's so many layers of various dyes) and dye it bright fuckin orange, but i probably have to have it be a normal color so i can have a boring job this summer. which leaves me with several options.
1. get some hairdresser to blonde me correctly. i might lose a few inches of hair but that's no big deal to me...the problem is that it'd cost a LOT of money and pretty much every self respecting hair stylist will refuse to do that...they all just tell me to leave my hair the fuck alone and stop ruining it and will mostly think that making me blonde would be too damaging and impossible.
2. dye it some sort of semipermanent brown...this is what i'll probably do, then bleach the hell out of it next fall. but that means i have to let this color fade as much as i can so it's easy to cover up...ugh.
3. get a cool job that will let me have cool hair. this is preferred, but unlikely.
my mom sent me the phonebook pages from home that list photographers in my area so i really need to find those pages and call around to see if i can find a job i won't hate. gr.

I know what you mean about the blonde hair. To tell you the truth, it's hard to maintain if your hair grows fast, I'm probably going to dye mine black again.

Eek! I've noticed that a couple of people have suggested dying your hair black. Don't do it. It took 7-8 hours to get my hair as light as it is now back from black. 6 bleachings! Once you go black, you never go back....or else you go back and have extremely fried and sad hair.
