One of the best kids books evAr:
"If tomorrow morning the sky falls...
have clouds for breakfast,
If night falls...use stars for streetlights.
If the moon gets stuck in a tree...
cover the hole in the sky with a strawberry.
If you have butterflies in your stomach...
ask them into your heart.
If your heart catches in your throat...
ask a bird how she sings.
If the birds forget their songs...
listen to a pebble instead.
If you lose a memory...
embroider a new one to take its place.
If you lose the key...
throw away the house.
If the clock stops...
use your own hands to tell time.
If the light goes out...
wear it around your neck and go dancing.
If the bus doesn't come...
catch a fast cloud.
If it's the last dance...
dance backwards.
If you find your socks don't match...
stand in a flowerbed.
If your shoes don't fit...
give them to the fish in the pond.
If your horse needs shoes...
Let him use his wings.
If the sun never shines again...
hold fireflies in your hands to keep warm.
If you're afraid of the dark...
remember the night rainbow.
If there is no happy ending...
make one out of cookie dough."
My right eye was all puffy last night for no reason, now my left one is? Wtf mate? Does anyone here watch the West Wing? Cos I totally wanna be Allison Janney when I grow up. She is a badass. One thing I must say about school is that I miss out on pet interaction and that makes me sad. Last night my friends and I were were trying to think up good curve analogies... here's the one I came up with: more curves than a sine wave. Oh yeah I'm so nerdy. I think for me though, you'd have to say, more curves than a... 2 by 4?
Last night I had this super vivid dream I randomly saw a friend of mine- the one who wrote me an email a while ago. (which btw, I wrote him back and then he never said anything). He was wearing a blue button-up and looked really good and we hugged for a long time. He's got a long-time girlfriend but I wish I knew if he used to like me a long time ago cos I think he did, I kinda wish we had dated back then. It always interesting the people who cross your mind later in life when you don't think you'd think of them.
Go listen to Boards of Canada now. soapd said so.
Edited to say, Thank you everyone for all your inspiring thoughts about sticking through school, I'm sure you're right.
