I have stood where the Colossus once towered over the Harbor in Rhoads, but have yet made it to the Parthenon. I have viewed the pyramids from the deck of a ship 100 miles away, but never been dwarfed my their magnificence. I have sat in tombs and religious sites that were ancient when those same pyramids were being built. Played babysitter in Amsterdam for friends enjoying themselves and yet walked by the international court at the Hague with those same people. Got really drunk on an island on the coast of Spain. Walked the beaches of the French Riviera and caught a movie in Cannes, yet still have not made it to Paris. Rode motorcycles with a European version of the Outlaws MC after taking them on a tour of the ship I was on (Rams Head MC out of Normandy). Fell in love with a Spanish girl who was working in a stall at the Underground Bazaar in Istanbul, but was to afraid to walk into the Blue Mosque. Watched a buddy get proposed to by a young Jewish girl for his shoes (Chuck Taylors) in Hyphea, Israel (someday I will tell you the rest of that tragic night). Stood at the feet of Mayan pyramids discussing Archaeology and the Mayan Calender before the recent craziness over it.
What about me? I want to do it all over again.... and more. Ankor Wat, the Cambodian civilization the thrived 1500 years ago. Listen to the morning or evening prayers at Mecca. Set foot in Jerusalem and climb the Temple Mount. Be dwarfed by the Pyramids of Saccra and Giza. Navigate a fjord in Norway as some of my ancestors did. Dive the great Barrier Reef, visit the celestial observatories of the Incas, view the splendor of St. Petersburg, help with an Archaeology dig, walk the Great Wall of China.
You kinda get the idea. I want to see it all, taste it and touch it, to experience it.
