So I know this guy, he is the brother of Jo who owns the bookshop, and his name is Roger. He's written 17 books about animal behaviour and stuff like that and at the end of January he is going to Tanzania for his work to make a DVD about how to train rats to search for landmines and tuberculosis. The landmines part seems a good idea but the idea of giant rats roaming around African hospitals sniffing out patients who might have tuberculosis seems a little strange, albeit very usefull.
Anyway, he goes there a lot and always plays pool in this bar with the locals and he invited me to come along on the trip for a holiday and to be his pool partner. He'd also take me out to the national parks to see lions and giraffes and crocs and hippos etc. I really want to go but whether I can save up enough for the airfair is doubtful. Hopefully I can.
