So, the answer to the latest one is... Sand. Sand builds up castles (sand castles), and tears down mountains (erosion). It blinds some men (sand in the eyes), and helps others to see (sand is used to create glass).
So, further stealing an idea from Elisabeth, who apparently stole it from Trilobyte... Ten things you don't know about me (and probably don't want to).
1. I'm a Transformers collector. At present, I have 437 of them.
2. I have a phobia of sharks. It's so severe, that it interferes with swimming, and even video games that contain sharks drive me to panic (i.e. Resident Evil and Tomb Raider 2).
3. I have the biggest crush on Belinda Carlisle, I have ever since I was young. I finally got to see the Go-Go's live last year, and jumped around like a school girl.
4. I once shaved my legs. It took 45 minutes and three razors.
5. I graduated college with a GPA of 2.053. I needed a 2.0 to graduate. However, this did not prevent me from getting into grad school.
6. I cannot sleep without a fan on. It doesn't need to be facing me, especially in the winter, but I need the sound. If it is turned off while I'm sleeping, or the power goes out, I wake up.
7. The Wilmington News Journal ran an article shortly after Columbine, in which I was mentioned (jokingly referred to the Goth King of Newark). I did my best to assuage fears of us trench coat types.
8. On average, I drink about 2 liters of Pepsi a day. Without caffeine, I get headaches. I will wean myself someday... but not while I'm in grad school.
9. I have, at one point in my life, seriously considered all of the following careers: Architect, comic book artist, FBI agent, movie director, and teacher. I've settled on the (more realistic) later.
10. After ten prior relationships, and far more sexual interludes, I have finally found the girl of my dreams. It took me a decade of searching. It was worth it.
I feel that I should keep up this riddle thing a bit more, so
The eight of us march forward, not back, to defend our king from a foes attack. What are we?
