I've 2 essays to get done for the end of next week, and where am I? Fannying about on the internet again. Ooops. I promise not to be on here long.
It's a week since I came back from Germany and I'm more or less back to normal, though missing the Deutsche Boy like crazy. I was really disorientated at first, I kept looking at newspapers and street signs and feeling there was something missing. Finally it struck me! I was sufferring Umlaut Deprivation. It just didn't seem right to see sentences without umlauts everywhere! So I took a German book on the bus with me every day and read words with umlauts until I felt better. I think I am over my umlaut crisis now.
The Boy brought a DVD player over to London for me. It cost only 40 Euros in the Wal-Mart in Rosenheim. How much cheapness is that? And it has a 5 disc changer and a microphone for karaokes as well. But, being a true man, the Boy held onto the remote control and managed to leave it in Germany. Pretty fucking remote, I think. I am expecting it in the post next week...
Stansted airport rocks when the sun is shining, because instead of sitting in an expensive airport cafe for the sake of having somewhere to smoke a ciggie, you can sit outside on the grass! That's what we did on Wednesday morning. I was paranoid about not getting to the airport on time, so in the end we were really really early and sat about in the sunbeams! YAY! My only real bit of summer this year!
Right. I am off to do some study now. See you soon
