Off to the highlands in the morning for visit to the folks - and prob won't be looking up SG on my mother's computer - so it will be a quiet week for updates here! But then recently it has been pretty quiet, so nothing too new there.
Saw the Fall last night at the Liquid Rooms, pretty damn good except I'm sure Mark E Smith was annoying the hell out of his band by going up behind them and fiddling with their amps, the minute his back was turned they were fiddling them back again. And he was wearing dodgy old man slacks. Good encore of White Lightning! (though I was disconcerted to see so many of the audience making devil signs with their hands...this is the Fall, not Black Sabbath you fuds! :surreal
Can't wait for the SGUK CD swap to come to fruition. I hope there are many mad sounds upon them.
This is the place I'm heading to tomorrow morning! I haven't lived there in 16 years but have to do the visit family thing once in a while. The folks have promised me a visit to the fabulous Captain's Galley restaurant in Scrabster which you should visit if you are ever in that neck of the woods, because it does the best seafood ever. I used to head up there by train, which took about 8 hours there and 8 hours back again, but these days I fly to Wick, which takes about 1 hour. No need for shitty Scotrail and their filthy cludgies any more! YAY.
