Jewellery making is my latest passion. I've only been doing it since Christmas, but already I've made enough pieces to fill a decent sized jewellery box. Not only can I make exactly what I want, to go with a special outfit for example, it is so much cheaper than buying similar things ready made in the shops. I've aklso been working through my Grandma's collection of vintage costume jewellery, cleaning and restringing the beads so that I can wear them again without fear of the catch coming loose and dropping beads all over the U-Bahn.
It's a nice day outside, so thought I'd post some pics of my favourite creations for you...and a cat pic or two.

This one is made of glass beads. I love the next one, which is jade, and really heavy!

A friend brought the beads for this next one back from a holiday in Rome. I think of it as my summer necklace because I just love the colours.

Here's my Daffodil boy looking curious and wondering what on earth I am doing taking pictures of pieces of glass on the patio. He loves life here in Germany. There are lots of things to chase, even if his missing teeth means he can't really catch or kill anything. He does, however, make an excellent stapler.

Here are my geraniums....

and my strawberries! I'm really proud of these, because last year they all got some horrible grey rot before I had the chance to eat any. There are some more little strawb plants growing from seed too, but I don't know if they will be big enough to fruit this year.

The sun is beaming down and should stay that way until Saturday.
Fingers crossed anyway. I need to do some serious lazing around outside.
edit: Dammit! Photos are too big and wide! Anyone know how I fix that?![frown](https://dz3ixmv6nok8z.cloudfront.net/static/img/emoticons/frown.cec081026989.gif)
