I am back!
Today I faced the scary prospect of being stranded in WICK. Not funny at all, as you will see if you click the linky. The plane was incredibly late arriving from Edinburgh and still had to make its way to Shetland before it could turn around, stop in Wick again and transport me to Edinburgh. Hours late (and bladder stretched to the limit by complementary tea) I'm finally home. YIPPEE!
2 very happy cats are pleased to see me and are showing off the elastic bands they have captured during my absence and the piles of cat sick they have yucked up on my bed. But I am not to be outdone, for I have a STINKING COLD and am emitting veritable torrents of snot and phlegm in every direction.
I have to work tomorrow. On any other day I would say fuckit, I'm too ill to come in. But there isn't enough cover, so I have to go in anyway and will probably give everyone bubonic plague. If I time it right, they can all be off sick when I am on holiday and don't have to deal with the chaos

Ha'e a guid yin, hon !!
We had one of those in St. A's -- it was called something like the Victorian Ladies pool and was refreshed by the North Sea so it was always full of slime and seaweed as well as being incredibly cold. Not once in 16 or so years was I ever able to see the bottom of the deep end of that ghastly thing.
