Thank-you for your advice, I will definitely keep it in mind. I've already set my plans to move out west and have a place to live already that is actually really economical(moving in with a really dear friend). I can do many other jobs out there other then a medic on the rigs, I know I def. don't want to be an EMT..I'm not sure I would even get a job as one being so petite. Getting on with a good company is key out here, live in Calgary or Edmonton and the company will fly you in for your work! Air quality at the plants is questionable at best but it really is limited to the site, and COL outside of Fort Mac is pretty decent. As for swarms of men... That's EVERYWHERE, guys here are no better or worse than anywhere else, in fact AB has been ranked one of the friendliest provinces in Canada and a prefered tourist destination with Edmontons farmers market and festivals being among the best in the world!!!
