On this Valentines Day I would like to tell you about the sexiest tune of them all. Personally for me it is Depeche Mode's Stripped.
First of all, I wanna ask ladies, have you heard THAT VOICE? Dave Gahan's soothing baritone is just something magical. And combined with natural charisma of the man, I mean, a girl just can't resist, can she?
Moreover, the sound design on this track is pure awesome and makes you hypnotized by the music instantly, opening with a sound of a heartbeat made out of some machinery or engine working, I think. Very cool.
And finally, the lyrics. Not every classic tune has the ability to be relevant still to this day, 35 years after the release.
"Let me hear you make decisions without your television"
What I mean is, in our troubled times of political instability all over the world, particularly in my country, with all the propaganda on the TV, it's really important to have a strong connection with a person who disregards all the info noise just to be with you.
