Vegas Recovery!
Las Vegas is one of those Vacations that you need to book a vacation after! It's non stop fun. I went down for the 12th Annual APP conference where many modified professionals and friends meet once a year to share techniques and partake in debauchery.
The trip started by hopping off the plane and into a limo to the Rio to see PRINCE! He played non stop set for over two hours! The venue was small, like seeing him in a regular bar. And yes, he sang Purple Rain as perfect as I could have imagined it, causing me to bawl my head off like a baby through the whole song. (Make fun of me all you want.)
In Vegas I sadistically stuffed myself at buffet after buffet, making appearances at The Wynn, Planet Hollywood, The Paris and The Rio. Mmmm, food I can only dream about in my sleep. All were great but I definitely have to say The Paris is truly a hidden gem. If you haven't been it's worth checking out.
And of course Vegas wouldn't be Vegas without drunken stories and multiple boyfriends. I became a real champion drinker challenging myself night after night with beer, gin, tequila and jager; finding myself waking up still tipsy. It was all too much fun until you go and do something silly like drink tequila from a loaded gun held somewhere near an Aussie's groin. Oh well, it was really good tequila.
After the APP conference JesseV and I rented a Dodge Durango and drove to the Grand Canyon. To see the Grand Canyon in front of you is so much more impressive than pictures can tell. I spent two days getting up early doing trails up and down the South Rim. It was wonderful and exhausting. By 7:00 I was ready for bed. The town Iwe stayed in at the Canyon, Tusayan, had an amazing restaurant called Spaghetti Western. All the waiters looked like bouncers and it served the best red wine I have ever tasted. Kendall-Jackson Pinot Noir, California. I can't get it up here in Canada so if you happen to come across a bottle mail me a glass of it.
And so now I'm back. I have uploaded two new albums from my vacation for your enjoyment.
