Fox News gets it right....finally
...and Tanto arrives just in time.
Dangerous waters down there Even the "Sasquatch" was asked to evacuate
With all due respect for the survivors of the hurricane and uprooted lives in New Orleans, is it me or has the second wave of tragedy happening as we speak? What I mean is, now that the people have been transplanted to Texas and recovery efforts are clearly underway in Lousiana, the media circus have arrived! No, I am not talking about the actual "news coverage", but the insane people (vultures) using the disaster as a platform to resurrect and/or pump their own careers.
Almighty Oprah, the great humanitarian, looking like an angel and broadcasting from there. More later about the phony-bologna Oprah. Has anyone heard of Richard Simmons? He has milked this tragedy for three days (and counting) and now his name is on the front page again. Crying on tv and "worried" about his family, when his family was never even in danger! His brother evacuated days before the storm hit and Richard broke down in tears as though he was lifted by Katrina until he clicked his heels together 3-times.
Enough of the madness!!!
Everyone stay home and offer support in other ways...well, you know what i mean. If you want to help New Orleans, drop your cameras and go down there with your neighbor's fishing boat and actually save lives. THEN, and here's the kicker, go back to your homes and dont say a word. THIS is giving.
NOW you can see how everyone in Washington are still asleep at the wheel! It's ok to hire (or appoint) your friends for a particular job or task, just make sure "the plumber knows how to sweat a pipe" or "the accountant knows the difference between dollars and Euros" (Yes, a Euro is money now).
Well, I hate politics or ranting about who is bad or who is good. Lets all just do our work and be happy with each other...and stop taking life for granted. In this case, let's say you have 4 years at a job (and if you are a golden boy, 8 years) and then you can retire and never lift a finger if you want ever again. Just do the best you can, but keep in mind you are "leading" millions of people.
Edit: 09-08-05 6pm: Bush says, "...we ask that America pray, just America has always prayed in times of triumph..."
Did America win something???
Am I ranting? If so, I know, I suck.
I know mentioning the name Michael Moore is like yelling "FIRE" in a movie theater and I only visited his website because a friend of mine sent me the link, but he does do HIS work and has equally valid points worth reading at least. Well, everyone with an open and creative mind would probably not be reading this anyway...well, I doubt anyone has even made it this far in my looong update...who cares what soix thinks? Probably no one.
Ahhhh.....I need a break and the double sets of SG girls these days brings a similar sense of the diversity and beauty in this world. Bouncing around SG girls is similar to strolling through a mountain stream, climbing to an alpine or rocky mountain view, or just seeing the beautiful ever-changing nature that is all around us. Thank you SG girls, ALL of you!
fun
