Lolo National Forest, Montana
One of the best things for a happy relationship is time together. My husband and I take one or two trips a year together. This years first one is three days of camping in Montana.
Living in the Pacific Northwest is a dream. It’s beautiful, has all 4 seasons, and there’s always a ton of outdoor stuff to do. After reading a travel blog about fire watch tower rentals, I knew we had to do it. What I didn’t know is that they get booked really fast! I managed to find one night available at a sweet spot in Western Montana. The drive up was sketchy at times, but just absolutely breathtaking. The tower has a bed and electricity, which is fancy but also welcomed. The tower has two floors of electric facilities that can be accessed by staff when needed, but we lucked out and have the whole mountain top to ourselves. Entering the main floor felt like walking into Fallout 4, kinda creepy...
Reaching the top floor, seeing the view, and walking the catwalk that encircles the bunker was overwhelming. I felt so small and in awe of the nature that surrounds me.
Of course, we had to christen the day with a whiskey drink and some mostly nude photography, some of which I’ll be sharing here!
Day one of three... thanks for reading!!
