I spent the afternoon at North Ave Beach. It was fun. My arm is now 1 color instead of white where my shirt lives and slightly tan elsewhere. My sad legs however, are still pastie white... i suppose I will have to lay out every day for the rest of the summer in order to get color on them

Lately I've been missing my friends in the 405. I've gone down there to visit them numerous times since I've moved up here... and not a single one has come up here to visit me. It makes me sad really. But I guess that's why you meet new people and make new friends huh?

I had a similar experience in Vancouver once...but it was with a guy that got hit by a car, adn i saw it happen..tried to help him and got help..but it was too late
Now that classes are out for the summer, I think it's time I start going back to the gym... it is definately time to shed my winter coat... I lack motivation though... working out is not fun to me... motivation... what should it be...

You really don't sound selfish at all... you sound like someone who has an older sibling and who wants their friends to not be all "hey, where's your sister at?"... I had that happen to me growing up, as well with my brother. While I wouldn't go so far as to say that your sis is leeching off of your life, I would say that it's reasonable to be apprehensive of your friends wanting to spend more time with her than with you, after all, they are your friends. Let her know that she's welcome (if she is... I dunno, I'm new here) but that there has to be boundaries... ones that you set. Obviously you care about her so I think that talking to her about it might prove to be the best solution...

I'm sure your sister is not out to steal your thunder but just because someone doesn't do something on purpose doesn't mena it's not annoying.
Have you tried talking to her about this?? This kind of thing can sometimes blossom into full blown resentment if not adressed.
