It is still really cold in the northeast. I lost my golden retriever several months ago and still really miss him. Dogs can really become such a big part of our lives without all the personal dynamics of lovers or family. They are just there, to clean up food on the floor, lick the plates, give a friendly hopeful look in the morning to go out and start the day.

I think the age people stop wanting to tell people thier real age varies for everyone..... I'm not into telling people my real age because I don't look it. most people freak out when they find out how old I am...

I feel the same way and experience the same reaction from people. Then I wonder I told them my real age at all. I sometimes feel embarrassed by my age because I do not feel how I used to conceptualize being that old would feel.
Why shoud we feel bad about getting old. I am glad I am not 18 again.
