late tuesday night my contacts were bugging me, so i took them out. my right eye was irrating me more. I fell asleep thinking nothing of it. I woke up the next morning (wednesday) and my eye was swollen. This has happened before from allergies so I bought some Benadryl and started taking it. The swelling didn't go down and then I started to notice on Thursday I couldn't see out of my right eye at all. I went to my regular eye doctor and she said I could've a.) scratched my eye and it caused an infection b.) chicken pox of the eye. She recommended me to a specialist in Hayward and I waited there with my mom for over two hours although I was an "emergency". The doctor did say I have Chicken Pox of the Eye and that I need to start taking medictation and use eye drops. I went back to the same doctor and now he says I won't be able to see for two weeks (maybe sooner and maybe later) and that I won't be able to work for two weeks. I cannot wear contacts for six months and they're not even sure if this has done damage to my eye. I'm so distressed right now. Just thinking about missing out on work, going on disability, thinking of all the bills I have to pay and now the possibility of never having my eyesight again just terrifies me. I won't be able to have a Halloween this year and that sucks major ass. I'm so depressed.
