TSK, Deshi Pray and a dead fish
A journal by Sean Fogarty
Payday was Friday, but I'm still not paid. Maybe I've been doing too many drugs, or maybe I have a split personality or maybe I blacked out, but for some reason I don't remember signing the paper that said I was willing to work as a slave/indentured servant at citizens bank. Payroll(who has not mentioned said slavery contract) has something to give me though, and it's not a check. What I get from payroll is a whole lot of attitude about how they have 15,000 employees to take care of. That is understandable. What is NOT understandable is why only 14,999 of them were paid. Friday's answer from payroll: "A direct deposit will go in tonight." Maybe they knew that they could laugh about it without getting bitched at over the weekend cause they're closed and that's why they said that. A weekend of empty accountness later, I get the answer for Monday: "A direct deposit will be in there this afternoon." I feel like Sting: "Promises, promises". It's kind of sad really, a bum asked me for a quarter and I gave it to him, thinking to myself how I need the quarter more than him, I'm two hundred and forty dollars below having no money. That didn't stop me from taking my first step to becoming a full fledged, fists of fury karate master though. Tonight, I walked into Tiger Schulmans Karate School and wrote out post dated checks(post dating checks is illegal by the way ) that will get me through five months of punching, kicking and EEEEEEEEYAH!!!!!!!-ing. I'm so psyched. My back aches a little and my left arm is a little tired, but I can't wait. I can't wait to get to the point where my whole body feels like jello from the strain, where my clothes are soaked from the sweat of my exertions.

read your journal- fuckin' accountant wankers! they're just pissed off at not having scored for the last 2 decades so they're taking it out on my friends!
fight the power bro- fight the power!
ok- before i go into my rave, let me first congratulate you on a very wise move- martial arts are the best instrument in revealing one's true potential!
however-
:shit- i shouldn't butt in:
my friend- karate is an inferior method
sad but true- i've been doing this whole martial art thing for a while- karate too- kyokoshin kai (full contact) as well as some other military oriented fighting styles and for the last 8 years-
toga kure ryu ninpo tai-jutsu, more commonly known as: Ninjutsu.
don't get me wrong- it's a good start, and there are a lot of benefits- especially short term ones, but there is SO MUCH MORE that's missing...
also- this whole corporate martial arts thing (yeah- the tiger guy...) at least to me, is missing the point- it's not about the $... shit- my sensei does it for no money at all!
ok - i'll stop now, didn't mean to bum you out- again, all power to you man- if you like it there and you're motivated- that's whats important!
and also- a good karate practitioner (if a bit limited) is not to be underestimated- i've had my share of sparring with those guys- tough mofos, i gotta admit!
be koooool,
g.
