Smoking in the doorway of my montreal hotel @ 3:00 a.m., I moved to let 3 people get in. Instead they stopped, shook my hand, introduced themselves... turns out they're students from the Ontario university where I work. Staying @ the same place, came from the same bar. Next vacation in Istanbul!

Had a few little epiphanies in the last few days.

The new stuff: connecting the newly found and the heavily memory-laden parts of a half-remembered city, so that the map in my head starts to more resemble the actual place.

hanging in Montreal- the plan is to spend a week here doing less that aggravates my rsi, more that stimulates my brain - plus taking some time to get acquainted with my newest (old) camera; a big analog dinosaur I picked up with money that shoulda been for accomodation this week.

Thanks to all who attended the opening last Friday. Despite a million glitches (most of them byproducts of my disorganization), the remainder of the show went up Sunday. I'll be by around tonight around 6 to do some touch-ups
