Apparently nightmares and other 'sleep disturbances' are common responses to nicotine withdrawal. It's happening less, anyway. So.. the night N came home we found a feast. She had lamb. I had this:
Kitfo
2 pounds lean beef
1 cup niter kebbeh
1 tablespoon cayenne to taste
1 tablespoon black cardamon
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon salt to taste
1. Chop very lean beef very finely.
2. Heat butter, add spices, remove from heat, add beef.
3. Serve hot with collards&cheese.
So maybe raw beef isn't the cleverest thing to be devouring during an epidemic of mad cow disease. It was good.
So was the boinking. N read this semi journal today, found it kinda bare. I told her I'm keeping details to a minimum 'cause strangers don't tend to believe the details. We've been having this long, odd ongoing conversation about the differences between our experiences and other folks' experiences (especially around sex and relationships). It's my contention that normal is a disguise, and most folks are far kinkier than they seem. Maybe that's a coping strategy so that I don't feel like quite such a freak, and maybe I'm deeply wrong. Whadda you think?
