So I was checking facebook to find that it would be the birthday of a close friend who passed a couple years ago. My friend, Stephen, loved have a good time with loved one, drinks, and mostly he loved everyone. People say that about a lot of people, but with Steve it was true. He always welcomed everyone with a smile, a hug, and if possible a drink. In return for his love he was loved by everyone. I never heard anyone say anything bad about him... and that's because it's impossible to come up with anything bad about him. He was very selfless too. The man gave me use of his vehicle, free of charge for weeks on end while my vehicle was being fixed so I could get to work. Why did he do that? Because he was a wonderful person.
Sadly he had health issues and just when we all thought he was out of the woods an infection hit him and took him before anything could be done. To tragically add to it he was a gay man and Minnesota had just legalized gay marriage... and he was set to be married roughly a week after he passed on. Due to the stupidity of people a wonderful man and his wonderful husband didn't get to marry before this unfortunate event made it impossible.
Someone as wonderful as him has to be taken from us, yet someone as horrible as my girlfriend's mom's boyfriend, who I will not get into, is still alive despite all the things that should have taken him, hence why this is titled that the only things that are certain in life are death, taxes and that life isn't fair.
Just needed to get this off my chest, for those of you took the time to read this, thank you.
