Yes I am so stoked right now! I got to help extract a tooth from my cat today! It sucks that he needed work done but it was cool that I got to do most of the work. I mean why have pets if you can't practice on them right? hahaha I'm just kidding. I love all my "kids"
So anyways I got to use the drill and "burr" down the alveolar bone to expose the roots of the tooth. Then the Dr. extracted it and I got to place my first suture! (not counting all the practice I do on stuffed animals of course)
So although it may not sound like much it was pretty dang exciting for me!
Annnnd I took my last exam in my third semester yesterday!! Now I just have to finish up about 10 hours of webinars and then take my proctor exams
After that's all done I will be starting my 4th and FINAL semester!! It's all so close yet still so far away! I can't wait to put all this behind me and just be an official vet tech already!!
