Got me new camera today, been very inpressed. the standard lens if great for indoor and close up, but the other lens really doesn't like the outdoors. i have now found out that is it a common issus and will need to be rechiped.

Hmm, I don't know what that means. What lenses did you get with the camera?
On another note, you listened to Element Eighty at all? My friend just gave me their album "The Bear", and it seems like you might like them... a lot.
I got my XT with Canon's EFS 17-85 USM with Image Stabilizing. The USM lenses focus amazingly fast, I love working with it. To bad it spoiled the shit out of me and I don't want a non-USM lens now. Doh!
You should post up some of your pictures after you get your lens issues fixed.
