Hi all!
Long time, no blog, hey?
So it's now 2014, something that I can't quite get over. We're now in the future. The 'future' is something I've often thought about and I've always imagined that it's totally different to how my life was in the 'past'. So now that this 'future' is here and my life is the same, I've decided to be active about making a change. I've thrown in the towel at my day job. I've worked there since 2007 and I'll always have fond memories of it. It's just been pretty stale for the last 12 months and it's hindered my motivation when it comes to doing something else. In my spare time (not that I get much) I design websites and take photos, but I can't concentrate because of this damn day job and this damn OU course I have! After writing my notice with my own fair hand, my last ever day is on the 1st March. I have two days to enjoy hangovers and freedom and then I'm off to...
...Puerto Rico! I booked my tickets before I handed my notice in to ensure I actually quit. I need a bit of this in my life for a while (I found this on the internet):
I'm travelling on my own and if there's anybody on the island who wants to be my friend, send me a message! I'll be there from the 4th - 26th March. I'll be around San Juan for the first week and then I'll be hiring a car and driving round the island in search of, well, anything and everything. If you're in search of an island holiday and want to come with me, then please do!
I'm flying home via Miami and am going to a wedding in London. I'm around for a week before I head back to Heathrow and fly to the US! I bought my ticket for Coachella Weekend 1. I'm going to stay in the US until my visa runs out (I have to be out of the country by 2nd July!). I wish I could stay at least two extra days so I could partake in the Independence Day celebrations, but getting a six-month tourist visa is waaay too much hassle.
This is my rough route, although instead of going to Canada (I might do that once I leave the country) I'm going to go to Portland, OR. I'm renting a car and will be on my own for the trip so if anybody along the way (I am willing to detour a tiny bit) wants to hang out and shoot some photos or go to the pub, let me know!! I'm hoping I'll get upgraded to a car like this:
...but I'll more likely end up with a different kind of Ford, like a Focus... Oh well - good times are ahead!
Finally, I've got a couple of sets going into MR soon, one with @kiplin and another with @finella. Don't forget to put the dates in your diary ;)
I've got to go to work now, so I'll see you all later. Don't forget to follow me on Instagram and Twitter :D
Lots of love,
Snowy xx
