I got new body work... Rather, I did a bit of dabbling into the arts on my own.
I have been interested in the art of branding recently... Intrigued by the more tribal branding and scarring tactics of bodymod.
So I decided to do a little experiment and brand a heart to my arm.
Twisted the heart out of a copper-type wire and heated it over a candle flame... Not the best idea-- I will use a clean-burning flame next time... The heart was all sooty (although I did use it as a stencil to paint with beforehand which may not have been the brightest of ideas...) so it left sooty marks behind. I peeled off the layer of blistered skin yesterday, and I've been trying to keep it clean and covered.
Looks like it is getting a little nasty, though, so I may have to revise my cleaning/care schedule.
Does anybody know about branding? Granted, I am online and I can look up anything that I want to know, right now. BUT, alas, I am lazy... I just haven't heard much about the art of branding. My ex was talking to me earlier about how you can get special branding kits (I personally think that free-hand sculpting of wire is the way to go... but I know nothin'.) and et cetera, but I feel like most of the people that I've talked to about it-- even those who are pretty into bodymods-- are kind of wierded out by the concept.
In other news, I fully submitted the Searching for God set. i had to go in black and white. Wierdest thing ever-- I think that the uploader had a problem with my greens. Any picture that was overly green due to the lush foliage would not upload. In black and white, they were taken without a prob. Eventually I just gave up and decided to do the b&w... I just wanted to get this set in. My first set comes out in MR in 6 DAYS! I'm very excited for feedback.
Yeah, man, so that is what is up.
Rock the fuck on, peoples.
