When I met my wife I was working second shift from 3pm-11pm. Every night after work I would go out to bars until 2am. I would wake up in the morning between 8am & 9am. Most mornings I would jump on my bicycle. For 3-4 hours I would ride the mountain bike trails in the state park across the road. Other times I would ride the dirt bike track in our front yard. Occasionally I'd pull out my old BMX bike and ride the half pipe we built in one of the barns. On weekends my housemates and I would throw massive parties. Occasionally we'd have crowds of nearly 300 people. I'd been living with 4 of my best friends for three years. We drank heavily, had no rules, and no neighbors. We partied harder than you could possibly imagine unless you were there. We had the time of our lives. I was 23 years old. I weighed 170lbs (77kg) and was in the best shape of my life.
Fast forward to 2016. I'm now 31 years old. I've suffered 2 blown out knees, a serious back injury, and I've dislocated my shoulders roughly 6 times (each). Now I've been working the overnight shift and only eating once a day for nearly 7 years. I haven't ridden anything with 2 wheels in over 3 years. I've gained 60lbs (27.2kg) I weigh 230lbs (104.3kg) and wake up in pain everyday. On the plus side I married the most beautiful woman in the world three years earlier.
Now we jump to January 2016 My wife and I were going through a tough patch in February. I had moved out of our house. That's when I got the notification that I had had been tagged in several photos on Facebook. When I saw the photos I was shocked at how fat I looked. That's when i decided need to be working out more a. So I joined the gym changed my diet. After three months of working out my back injury feels great. I'm down to 215lbs (97.5kg) My knees only hurt when there's a storm coming.
