i am left with a vexing philosophical question that very much defines my life: i have a half-full bottle of Glenlivet 18 year-old scotch. to leave it in my hotel room in hong kong most certaintly means it will be poured out by some itinerant chamber maid. wasted. gone. dead through no fault of its own.
to bring it with me, however, means i would have to check my bag. that would result in having to wait at baggage claim for 15 minutes. plus checking bags is the same as giving in to the man. its selling ones soul.
so, what is more important -- 15 minutes of my life or protecting the innocence of a bottle that has given so much and taken so little?
vexxing, i know, is the word.......

that bottle waited eighteen years to be enjoyed. I would wait fifteen minutes.
